Food Security for Urban Aboriginal East Vancouverites"We help Urban Aboriginal folks from East Van get to UBC Farm by vanpooling or by providing bus fare. We steward about one acre of land at UBC Farm on Musqueam traditional territory. We do this collectively (each participant works to the best of their abilities, harvests what they need and shares the rest) and we try to bring cultural and spiritual aspects to the garden as well. The idea is to create ritual around our garden space: reverence for our Mother the Earth and what the Creator provides for us. Meanwhile we have fun and get healthy by creating a space for social time and intergenerational time for the participants.How to reach us:
